Bvlgari Man in Black is one of the best perfumes that are famous among designer fragrances.
And the brand that made this perfume is, of course, Bvlgari who makes a lot of other designer fashion things.
But what caught my eye is the Bvlgari man in black perfume. I tried this perfume myself when I was in the mall on 20th November 2022. Of course, I have tested other perfumes as well but “Man in Black” was my favorite for this season.
So, in this article, I will give you my honest review of the Bvlgari Man in Black and how I rate this perfume on the basis of performance, price, smell, silage, projection, and masculinity.
Bvlgari man black review
Before you dive into the article I want you to know that I tested the man in black on my palm because the smell of it on my body is better than on stripe.
So, I suggest you spray it on your body when you test. Not only you will know the actual smell of the cologne but you can also test how it smells after 1 hour or 2.
Bottle
The bottle of Bvlgari Man in black comes in a square rectangular box. The box is simple and there is nothing special about it.
When you open the box, you get a black and rose gold bottle. The black color on the bottle has a matt finish which makes it look premium. The rose gold stripes on the bottle also look clean and appealing to the eyes.
On top, you get a round sprayer. The best thing is that you can turn off the sprayer when you don’t use the fragrance and open it when you want to. The spray cap comes in a rose gold finish.
The downside is that the sprayer does not look as premium and strong as the bottle.
Notes
When you open the Bvlgari bottle and keep it on you. The first notes that reach your nose are a blend of spices like black pepper, cardamom, and lastly cinnamon. It also has a rum and tabaco as opening notes.
All of these spicy, rum and tabacoo notes create a warm aroma around you.
After one hour or so you will start smelling the leather note which also provides depth and richness to the fragrance.
If you are a fragrance expert you can also be able to catch the iris and tuberose present in the middle notes of Bvlgari.
If you like the woody notes then you will be happy with the base notes of Bvlgari Man in black which includes woody notes like Benzoin, tonka bean, and guaiac wood.
To provide warmth and depth to the fragrance, amber, toka bean, and patchouli are also present in the base note.
Whenever you are buying a Bvlgari Man in black perfume, do know that the concentration of specific notes will change according to the version you opt for.
So, it is always a better idea to spray it on your palm, leave it for 30 minutes, and then buy.
Smell
Bvlgari man in black smells like a warm cozy seductive scent that you can wear to any date, wedding, or night event during winter. The best thing is that the blend of spices in it gives a much smoother opening.
It smells smoother than a spicebomb, which is also a prominent pick for men in winter.
It smells spicy and woody but not so strong in the starting, but after a few minutes, it melts into a sweet woody fragrance. However, it is not too sweet at the same time, you will feel the masculinity and playful vibe of this fragrance when you spray it on you.
It is a mixture of sweet and masculine fragrances, in such a way that it will not offend the nose of a wearer and the people around him.
If you wear this perfume you will definitely get a good response from your date or generally from females.
The best thing is that it is masculine with a sweet touch to it, which women love. So, if you are buying from that perspective, you will not be disappointed.
Projection and Sillage
Sillage and projection are something that most people neglect when they buy perfume.
Sillage is the trail you leave behind you when you pass by someone. Projection on the other hand is about how far a fragrance can reach.
So, now let’s talk about the sillage and projection of the Bvlgari man in black.
The projection of this perfume is good but not the best. There are perfumes in the market that project more than Bvlgari man in black.
However, it can not be considered as bad because you get a good projection. If I have to give points to the projection of the Bvlgari man in black it would be 7.5 out of 10.
The trail(sillage) it leaves behind is a leatherish and sweet smell as you pass by someone. It smells like a sexy fragrance if someone crosses you with this scent on them.

Longevity
The longevity of the perfume matters very much as there is nothing worse than spending money on a perfume that only lasts for 2 hours. Not only do you have to spray it again but also your bottle will be empty soon.
But that is not the case with Bvlgari Man in black as it can last 8 to 9 hours. It can last even longer if you spray it on clothes.

As I already discussed, you can wear it at night on a date, club, wedding, or while attending any event. It has that seductive vibe to it but at the same time, it also has a masculine vibe in such a way that you can easily pull it off in a formal event like a wedding.
It has ingredients that give winterish vibes like leather and spices, which are also the prominent notes of this cologne.
So, if you want to try this fragrance make sure you wear it in winter and especially in the evening or night.
It is an appealing and seductive scent that you can wear to clubs or any function at night.
The best time to wear Bvlgari Man in black is in the evening or nighttime when it darks. It has a dark and seductive vibe to it, which compliments more if you wear it when the sun is down.
Now, who should wear this? It suits best a man who is over 22 years of age and wants to create a mysterious vibe around him. This is not the best option for teenagers as it has a mature vibe to it.
It goes hand in hand if you wear it with a black suit. A black suit is the best option for this.

It not comes in very expensive perfume but at the same time it is not an affordable option for all.
So, should you buy this perfume? Yes absolutely buy Bvlgari Man in black if you are over 22 years of age.
Bvlgari man in black will be your go-to fragrance for any date, club, event, and wedding during winter and fall.
The performance is also good as you get decent projection and Sillage with great longevity. So, you can consider your money well spent if you buy this perfume.

There are many places you can buy Bvlgari man in black but I suggest you buy it from a trusted seller. If you want to buy online then I suggest you buy from the brand’s online store itself.
On the contrary, you can also buy it from Amazon but I don’t trust sellers on Amazon unless they have a good history of customer service.
I bought my Bvlgari man in black from the mall from a perfume store. The best thing about this is that you get an authentic product for sure.
Second, you can test the fragrance before you spend money.
However, if we talk about online e-commerce websites then there is no valid proof that you will receive an authentic product.
Sometimes sellers don’t have a return option for grooming products.
