Does dreaming mean good sleep: Sleep is always associated with a healthy lifestyle. A proper sleep without any disturbance is always recommended. But what happens when you’re dreaming during sleep hours? Is dreaming affecting your sleep or is it a good sign that you have good sleep? Well, for that let’s just start with what really happens when you sleep and the different stages of sleep that are divided by experts. 

Studies show that sleep itself is complex and almost every body part is affected by it. There are different levels of sleep according to the experts. Basically, there are two types non-REM and REM. And they are further divided into categories. 

There are many people in today’s contemporary world who experience problems based on sleep. The factors responsible for it may vary. 

non-REM ( rapid eye movement ) consists of the first three stages of sleep. Each stage is about 70 to 120 minutes long. 

REM – it’s the last stage of sleep and the only REM sleep. It is also responsible for empowering memory and learning. Most of the sleep consists in this stage only. 

Dreams have become part of life, it may be anything from visuals to feelings, or something unusual things. You may encounter something strange or something that is happening around daily in dreams. Fewer nightmares

Ok, this night be confusing for you as most of you come across nightmares once in a while. While they are terrific and can be stressful experiences that occur on daily basis.

But if you’re one of those who get less affected or face few of them then consider yourself Lucky. Because you are having a good time sleeping. And even the sleep is healthy. 

No waking in the middle of the night

Well, it’s pretty common to wake up in the middle of the night once, no need to worry and consider it a sign of bad sleep. But in reality, it happens with everyone. The less you get awake in the night the better the sleep.

But if you often get awake more than once then you do not have a proper sleep. This might be because of certain factors that are disturbing your sleep, but before getting into let’s focus only on the ones that are good signs of deep sleep. 

Get up energized

This is one sure sign of knowing that you have good and healthy sleep. Check yourself in the morning after getting up in the morning. Are you feeling energized and rested upon waking? If yes, then you know the answer, a good signal that indicates a deep sleep.

Sleeping means getting proper rest and getting refreshing and lively upon waking. And if you still feel restless and tired feeling then your sleep is not healthy and proper.  

Feeling asleep in a few minutes

Are you one of those who get asleep in a few minutes or who take hours to finally sleep? Well, if you fall in category one you are good to go and have a deep and healthy sleep.

The people who have been having pleasant sleep usually take only a few minutes to fall asleep. But those who have poor sleeping habits may take longer than usual time to fall asleep. 

How to get good sleep 

The mantra of having good sleep always lies in your daily habits and the way you’re living. Well, there are sure some ways to get quality sleep. These habits will certainly help to get a good sleep. Let’s see them in detail. 

Cut down caffeine

Caffeine and alcohol intake has been proven to be one of the causes of lack of sleep and poor quality sleep.

People who need activeness and energy generally prefer coffee, but before going to sleep avoid drinking coffee and alcohol as these substances can stay in your body for long hours and may disrupt your sleep.

And if you’re one of those who is experiencing poor sleep for a while then it is a must-do step to improve your quality sleep. 

Follow a consistent schedule

You might not know this but a consistent routine helps to improve sleep quality. You should have adequate sleep hours at your age.

Moreover, it is seen that it doesn’t matter how long you sleep but what matters the most is the quality.

Well, it is advised you should take a minimum of 7 to 8 hours of sleep and make sure you follow this. Going to bed and waking up at the same time generally improves sleep quality. Try to make this a habit and enjoy the sleep. 

Avoid distractions

Distractions are always there and hence the same happens with your sleep too. Electronic devices like phones that have become the most important part of our daily life are no doubt responsible for our poor sleep.

The light they emit delta your sleep and disturbs your sleep. Try to avoid these at least 30 minutes before going to bed. 

Avoid Day sleep

Most people have the habit of sleeping during the daytime, which is absolutely wrong if you’re having enough sleep at night.

Short naps are okay like 25 to 30 minutes but not more than that. And If you’re sleeping in the daytime then it’s evident that you’re not getting proper or healthy sleep. No matter what, try to avoid sleeping during the daytime as much as you can.
