The Kissing Booth 2 is going to release on July 24th, 2020. The first installment of Netflix ‘The Kissing Booth’ series was a massive hit. The teen romantic comedy has gathered so much social buzz that teens are stating this as the best teen romantic comedy of this decade. I think “The Kissing Booth” is not a bad movie but the worst movie build on the cliche the teen rom-com has to offer.

“The Kissing Booth” is the story of Elle (Joey King), Lee (Joel Courtney), and Noah (Jacob Elordi). Two best friends Elle and lee made certain rules that they have to follow in their friendship. Sounds weird, it’s just the starting. This Netflix original movie is filled with cliche that we found in every romantic movie. Chaos happens when Elle breaks one rule and started dating Lee older brother Noah ( bad boy with a temper). The whole movie shows how this affects two best friends relationship.
If the movie would be a love triangle, I think it would be great but it is sexiest and regressive.
Now we are all caught up, let’s take a look at what are we expecting from the sequel of Netflix original movie “The Kissing Booth 2”.

Things we don’t want to see again in the Netflix Sequel
Adding more rules on the ‘strict for best friends’ list
Throughout the first movie, the audience repeatedly seen rules to govern their friendship. As we all remember Rule Number 9 ‘Relatives are totally off-limits’. As this was broken we just don’t expect any bizarre rules in the ‘The Kissing Booth 2’.
We don’t it is a rule, but from the trailer, we have concluded Elle and Lee, has made a plan to go to Berkeley for college but she might abandon this to follow Noah to Harvard.
Director always contrived to get its characters in a state of undress
Every movie has some ridiculous or unconditional undress state but nothing can top this movie scene. From Elle first day in a tiny skirt to her being drunk and started taker her clothes or her being in the paint fight and accidentally wanders into the boy’s locker room and takes off her shirt. From the big studios like Netflix, we expect a bit more.
Likely these things are going to bit less in the new Netflix original ‘The Kissing Booth 2’ due to negative reactions from the audience and critics.
One of premium cliche A girl always need rescuing
It is ridiculous, there is almost every moment either Lee or Noah trying to rescuing Elle, sometimes she does not need it. Premium cliche, a guy rescue a girl and now he is the love of her life. We have come to a modern age and audience don’t buy these things.
Hopefully, this goona be a bit less as Noah is at Harvard and Lee has a girlfriend so they can’t interfere in Elle’s final year.
Most ridiculous thing ever Elee gets the same punishment as the guy who assaults her
The scene where Elle got assaulted was played with laughs and not even the Principal takes that seriously. Pray to God that this is fictional and not a real world. Otherwise principal should have some serious questions to answer for how he managed this situation.
Hopefully, We know we don’t want to see this scene ever as people are furious from the whole situation.
OMG Girls
In every teen movie, we are proposed with the super popular girls and we call them OMG Girls. It not uncommon we are not gonna see them in this Netflix movie. It’s like, without OMG Girls there is no high school.
It goona be sad but we are definitely seeing them in ‘The Kissing Booth 2’ as confirmed in the trailer.
Better love story
The first movie shows how the great love story between Noah and Elle is. But really do really love each other. In the first installment we see Elle making a list of the reasons to date Noah, so let’s discuss pro he smells really good is not true love is all about. Noah a bad boy turns good, but long does it gonna last. We are just excited to see what will happen after Noah goes far away to Harvard.
Make a better pro/ cons list for giving Noah a Chance
It’s not weird to make a pro/ cons list. But putting something smells yummy is a lot weirder. Elie manages to make the worst pro/cons list in the first movie. Hopefully she learns something by now and create a decent list. If it been another teenage movie, nobody choose these type of cliche, but “The Kissing Booth 2” is not any other teenage movie, it gonna fill every cliche we have seen combined in all the movies.
What Could Happen In The Kissing Booth 2
The Netflix Original is going to release on July 24th,2020. So let’s predict what could happen in this teen romantic comedy. We are just looking at certain events and not the entire movie as we don’t wanna spoil it for you.
Blindfolded teenagers again are going to make out in public
It’s a weird concept, no School in the country would ever allow it. For teenagers it’s the best thing ever could have happened to them. For a dollar, you can kiss the person you want to. It’s like finding the hidden treasure for just spending a dollar. Every teen rom-com have cliche, but nothing can top this insanity level. Noah manages to get on the stage at the exact time to kiss Elee. It not wonderland, you can’t expect something to be this perfect. So let’s predict what gonna happen in the sequel The Kissing booth.
There are two possibilities first Marco is going to kiss Elle, which is kind of a long stretch.
And Second or the obvious one Noah again manages to enter the stage and wind up making out with Elle.
Love Triangle
In the first movie, we thought there is gonna be a love triangle between two brothers and a girl. But that was not the case and with the new sequel, it might happen. We have introduced with a lot of new characters in the sequel trailer and own the most got attention is the new charismatic new classmate named Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez). It just a prediction but we might see a love triangle between these three. In other scenarios, he is gonna help make Elle and Noah bond stronger, which we don’t want but it’s gonna happen ( Noah is the lead star).
Relationship or Best friend
It looks like Elle is going to face down the toughest decision of her life. Either she can choose Noah and move to Harvard and destroy her friendship with his childhood best friends. Or In other scenarios, she can choose Lee and go to Berkeley for the college where her mom and her aunt became Bffs and leave her love of the life Noah.
